'FreshCompass started from a passion: to introduce real Neapolitan pizza to Roma. Established by the Romano family in 1985, our small, intimate pizzeria was built on recipes that have been passed down for generations.
Marco Romano, our pioneer, mastered the craft of pizza-making while exploring Italy, training with renowned pizzaiolos in Naples—the home of pizza. After coming back to the UK, her aim was to replicate the enchantment of authentic Italian pizza, using age-old techniques and the best quality produce.
Our humble beginnings in a cozy 12-seat pizzeria have since expanded, becoming a cherished part of the neighborhood, maintaining our dedication to excellence and authenticity. Our dough is still prepared fresh every day, we continue to cook using wood-fired ovens, and we procure the finest ingredients available.
These days, 'FreshCompass is still in the hands of the Romano family, managed by its second generation, guiding our enthusiastic team. Though we've adopted new methods, the essence of our mission endures: serving up exquisite, genuine pizza that gathers people together.
